The Army chief of staff visited Fort Bliss Saturday to visit the Warrior Transition Battalion, see the post’s growth and get updates on the Future Combat Systems program at McGregor Range Complex.
Gen. George Casey Jr. ended his visit with a press conference at the Departure and Arrival Airfield and Control Group, during which he said he was impressed with all three aspects.
The Pentagon announced last month the acceleration into the force of five systems that are being tested here. Congressman Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, accompanied Casey to see the FCS program.
