Star Notes Award, Bliss Quarters of the Month awarded

PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE

The following individuals and units received the commanding general’s Star Notes Award during the Sept. 30, Executive Forum. They were selected from the fourth quarter Quest for Quality and outstanding duty performance from July to September:

• Janet Reese (DENTAC). Continually provides outstanding customer service to Soldiers and family members at the installation Dental Clinic. Identified via the installation QFQ program.

• Christopher R. Carbajal (MWR/ Auto Crafts Shop). Provides outstanding automotive support to Soldiers and family members across the installation. Personally assisted CofS in maintaining his POV.

• DOE Staff (Garrison). Outstand-ing installation support in maintaining the Hazardous Wastes Pick Up and Disposal Program.

• Irvin J. Johnson and Shiela A. Schlie (PMO/Vehicle Registration). Numerous Soldiers and family members have in-processed over the past several months, and multiple QFQ cards identified both Johnson and Schile as having assisted them in a most expeditious and courteous manner. Provide outstanding support on a daily basis at the Welcome Center.

• Endocrinology Department (WBAMC). Entire section identified via the QFQ card program as having a superb operation at WBAMC. Numerous comments indicate this department is truly the epitome of the Team Bliss concept.

• Rufino Escobar (Chief, Housing Div). Escobar was identified by a personal letter to the commanding general from a current member of the CSM Academy class. His assistance in securing and establishing housing for the sergeants majors went above and beyond the call of duty, to include personally inspecting and insuring cleanliness of the home prior to move-in. He did this during a weekend; a true Team Bliss member.

• Emilio Duque (DPWL - Roads & Grounds Branch, The Cube Corp). Duque is affectionately known as the installation “sprinkler cop.” He monitors and maintains all installation sprinkler systems and is the primary reason the installation lawns and parade grounds remain in great shape and are among the best looking in the Army.

• Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey Dronet (31st CSH) and Staff Sgt. Steven Faulk (Korea; DPW Yard of the Month Program). These family’s hard work and meticulous upkeep of their quarters consistently led to a well-manicured, highly maintained home. Their efforts improved the aesthetic beauty of the installation housing areas.
