American Craft Show
The War Ku’i Tigua Indian Cultural Center will hold its first
Native American Arts and Crafts Show, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
and Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show will feature social dancing,
pueblo dances, drumming, jewelry, pottery, bread making, leather and
bead work, kids corner and guided tours of the Pueblo Museum. This is
an alcohol and drug free event, and admission is free.
The museum is located at 305 YaYa Lane, at the intersection of YaYa
and Socorro. For information call Sammy or Angie Gutierrez at 858-5610.
Fort Bliss Soldiers
will conduct a Native American Heritage Month Observance Nov. 18, from
1:30-2:30 p.m., in Soldier Hall, Bldg. 2. This ceremony will honor the
contributions Native Americans have made to the nation’s history.
This year’s theme is “Honoring Life, Honoring Elders, Honoring
Heritage.” Anyone who would like to participate is encouraged
to contact Master Sgt. Thomp-son at 568-1998.
This event is free and open to the Fort Bliss and El Paso communities..
