Soldiers enjoy a cup of coffee before morning formation.

The newest addition to the Team Bliss AAFES line up is the Starbucks location on Cassidy Road in the former Framing Bliss building. The first cup of coffee was served up shortly after 5:30 a.m., Dec. 15, and Soldiers and family members have been frequenting the spot ever since.

The new site offers a wide variety of coffees and pastries.

The official grand opening is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. Soldiers are invited to attend the event.

Sgt. 1st Class John Young, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, buys a “cup of joe” on the morning the shop opened.

Spc. Jonathan Vargas receives the first cup of Starbucks coffee sold at Mainstreet Express’ drive-thru window.

Bagels and pastries are offered in addition to the many selections of coffee.

The final touches are added to the first cup sold before its delivery.
