Troops get free tickets to Military Night at the
Southwestern International Livestock Show and Rodeo

TThe 76th Annual Southwestern International Livestock Show and Rodeo will kick off next week at the El Paso County Coliseum. The rodeo will run from Feb. 9-13.

Fort Bliss Soldiers and families will have an opportunity to watch one performance of the rodeo free during Military Night Feb. 10.

The Sahara Family of Companies purchased 2,000 general admission tickets and donated them to Fort Bliss. In a small presentation held earlier this week, Center Command Sergeant Major Stanley Davis received the tickets from Sahara’s director of security, Carlos Leon. Leon was acting on behalf of Sahara CEO Bob Jones.

Leon said the Sahara Family of Companies has great respect for Fort Bliss and the entire military. “We feel very strong toward the military. Mr. Jones has a place in his heart for the Soldiers and their families. And hopefully we’ll see about 2,000 Soldiers [at the rodeo].

Sahara also works with the military closely. They are one of the companies producing the new Army combat uniforms.

Tickets will be distributed throughout units at Fort Bliss. Any Soldier and their family wanting tickets for the rodeo should contact their chain of command.
