My Vietnam Wall Memorial
Today at noon at the First Presbyterian Church Conference Center at
the corner of Murchison and Brown Street. Retired Maj. Gen. Bill Riley
will tell the story of a memorial that was made to honor the service
and sacrifice of fallen men and women who fought with honor in Vietnam.
How it was made is a saga that is incredible, how it was constructed,
where the money came from (without a penny of government funds) and
how it came to be the “most visited memorial” in Washington
D.C. The controversial Vietnam War was thus able to be reconciled with
the American people, and this unique monument allowed veterans to come
to peace with their traumatic wartime experience. Hear stories through
the mementoes left at the memorial by families, friends and fellow Americans.

blood donor center works harder each year to collect enough blood to
keep up with the local demand during wartime and is available to ensure
a safe amount of blood supply at the Armed Forces Blood Program during
this holiday season. Donate a pint for a Soldier in need and know that
you have contributed to the need this holiday season. For more information,
