Troop Talk

During a Saber Run with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Air Defense Artillery, Soldiers asked the following questions:

What is the plan for 25S Soldiers in Patriot units to switch to 25F?

Signal and Air Defense Artillery are working closely together to correctly structure Signal Soldier support in ADA units. Signal is undergoing an MOS consolidation effort, and one of the goals is to eliminate MOS 25F. Current expectations are that signal Soldiers in Patriot units will become MOS 25Q, but before that change is made, training developers from both branches will create a distance learning package to ensure the signal Soldiers have received training before arriving at a Patriot unit. Distance learning packages can be easily modified to include new radios once those radios are fielded.

When 3rd Battalion, 2nd Air Defense Artillery returns from its deployment, will the Soldiers return to Fort Bliss, or go to Fort Sill, Okla.?

The 3-2 ADA flag will re-station at Fort Sill. How many Soldiers currently assigned to 3-2 who will re-station to Fort Sill is undetermined. We will try to accommodate those Army families who would like to stay at Fort Bliss, as well as those who would like to move to Fort Sill with the battalion colors.

Why do prices fluctuate on particular items at shopettes?

According to the AAFES general manager, all items should be priced the same at all shopettes. If there is a difference, the staff has not posted the change. The manager will emphasize the importance of posting changes in a timely manner at all shopettes.
