The U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy team finished first place in the Sergeants Major category for the sixth consecutive year at the 23rd annual Army Ten-Miler race held Sunday at the Pentagon. Maj. Gen. Richard J. Rowe Jr., center, commanding general of the Military District of Washington, and Command Sgt. Maj. Herbert McCoy, left, command sergeant major of MDW, presented the trophy to the team. Team members are (from left): Sgts. Maj. Tim Barton, Mark Thibeau, Rich Vater, Osvaldo Del Hoyo, Rick Gonzalez, Joey Torres and David Taylor.
