UTEP soccer Military Night
The University of Texas at El Paso women's soccer team is holding Military Night during their game against Tulsa, beginning 7 p.m. Friday at University Field. The game is free to all military ID cardholders, and children accompanied by their parents will get in free. Free face tattoos and "Thunderstix" (while supplies last) will also be available, and there will be a post-game autograph session. For more information, call 747-6065.
Swimming championships
The Post Swimming Championships will take place Oct. 18 and 19 at Replica Pool. Individuals and teams should register with their MWR sports coordinators prior to Oct. 17. Halloween B-Ball tourney
The Annual Halloween Classic Basketball Tournament will be held Oct. 26 through 28 at Stout Gym. Entry fee is $200 for civilian and non-Fort Bliss military teams and $150 for military Fort Bliss teams. The tournament format will consist of double elimination, and teams are limited to 12 players and one non-playing coach. NFL Sundays

Tennis lessons
Tennis lessons for adults are available every Monday for beginners and Wednesday for intermediate players from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Fort Bliss Tennis Club and Fitness Zone. Cost is $8 per session, or $35 for five sessions. To sign up, call Robert Jack at 539-7300.
Golf, bowling discounts
The Fort Bliss Bowling Center and George V. Underwood Golf Complex are offering special discounts on services for families of deployed Soldiers. The Bowling Center is offering a $1 discount for up to three games of bowling in one day. This discount is valid from Friday to Sunday. Tango Tower
Try your climbing skills on the 50-foot climbing walls, brave the Cargo Net, or test your limits on the Bead Climb. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday to Sunday, climbing fee is $10. Group rates are available. For more information, call 568-8087.
