One hundred nine Soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division flew into Biggs Army Airfield Monday after a 15-month deployment in Iraq.

The troopers departed the plane, turned in their sensitive items and then marched into the main building where their friends and families awaited their release.

“We appreciate you so much,” said Mike Price, head football coach, University of Texas at El Paso. “We love you, we love your friends and fellow Soldiers over in Iraq right now. Saturday night, if you can’t get a ticket and want to come to the game, you get a hold of Mike Price or Lieutenant Colonel Sheppard and I’ll cut the back fence to let you and your spouse and your friends in the game.”
