New unmanned vehicle gets ‘techno-tough’

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency unveiled the Crusher Tuesday at East Nations Well on the far east side of Fort Bliss. 

The new vehicle is the culmination of four years of work, research and development and resulted in an autonomous six-wheeled, all-wheel drive, hybrid-electric unmanned vehicle capable of carrying 8,000 pounds of payload and armor without compromising its mobility.
