Gates tours post, announces major change in SF 86

The secretary of defense spent three days visiting various areas of Fort Bliss April 30 through Thursday.

Robert M. Gates spoke at the monthly post retirement ceremony, conducted a mass enlistment and re-enlistment ceremony, attended the post volunteer award recognition ceremony and toured the installation.

During the retirement ceremony, Gates recognized the sacrifices of the retiring Soldiers and family members of the retirees.
