MCGREGOR RANGE, N.M. – Military police officers from the 978th Military Police Company have been training for several months in preparation for their upcoming deployment to Iraq.
“We’re going to be doing numerous missions down there and that’s what the battalion prepared us for,” said Cassidy. “Any scenario that we can think of was thrown at us just so that Soldiers aren’t caught blindsided.”
The training focused on police training team missions, convoy escorts, security, reaction to an improvised explosive device, and dealing with the civilian populace, said Sgt. 1st Class Michael Cassidy, platoon sergeant, 978th MP Co.
