More than 2,000 American flags were placed on the lawn of El Paso Community College-Mission del Paso Campus Friday to represent those who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The campus hosted a memorial service to remember the victims. Volunteers from EPCC and the community started lining the flags at 4 a.m. the day of the service.
