Another way to serve: Golden Knights

I recently got a chance to meet the Golden Knights, our Army’s parachute demonstration team, when they came to perform at the Amigo Airsho. They are exceptional ambassadors for our Army and they are world-renowned skydivers.

To be a Golden Knight, standards are high. You have to be an outstanding Soldier to be considered for the selection process. The demonstration team travels 240 days a year all over the country performing aerial demonstrations at air shows and special events to help Army recruiting efforts.  Grueling schedules require them to be in top physical condition. These Soldiers, male and female, are constantly practicing and perfecting their skills. Being a team player is also a critical part of being a Golden Knight. Their energy and professionalism is outstanding.  They are an example of what every Soldier should strive to be. They accomplish their mission and do it with pride.

Earning my Master Parachutist Badge was a memorable moment in my career, and I am impressed by the patriotism and discipline of the Golden Knights.

Perhaps you want to take the plunge and try out for their team?
